While Suburban Home recording artist, In the Red, were in town recently, Matt Glasgow (In the Red’s drummer) and I were talking about how tall he is. You see, Matt is a very tall 6 foot 8 inches. After a few beers, I started thinking, “I don’t think I have ever seen a drummer as tall as Matt.” I asked Matt if he ever met a drummer taller than him; he couldn’t think of one. The next morning, I asked our office if they had ever seen a drummer taller than Matt and Andy said that he had heard that Mick Fleetwood was really tall. I looked up Mick’s height and he is 6 foot 6 inches which although tall isn’t taller than Matt. I did a few google searches and still could not find a drummer taller that Matt. I posted something on our message board and on both the Vinyl Collective and Suburban Home blogs. The collective braintrust could not think of a taller drummer. We are currently filling out paperwork to submit this world record to Guinness.

At this point, I decided to purchase WorldsTallestDrummer.com. Until, someone can produce evidence of a taller drummer, Matt Glasgow is the TALLEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD!
