When None More Black disbanded, Jason had no intentions of starting another band. Instead he had planned on writing and recording a solo record under the name On Guard. When we had caught wind of On Guard, I wrote Jason letting him know of my interest in putting out something for his band and as luck would have it, he wrote me back and said that he would be interested in doing something.
As writing and demoing continued, Jason had contacted Dana to record the drums. As the two worked together, things just came together. Jason said, “Dana and I have been writing and it’s going way better than I had hoped. It’s some of the coolest shit I’ve done (but then again i say that about everything new). I think we are actually gonna be a band. I thought it unfair to dictate the name of the group just because I was doing it solo.” A recent trip to Richmond inspired the band to find a name, LaGrecia. In a Myspace blog, Jason said the following:
Sorry for the dissappearing act I pulled last month. Dana and I were sorting this shit out. So here is the deal.
OnGuard is dead. My only release was as song on the Generic Insight Radio Comp.
For those of you who followed the trail here….I can’t thank you enough for your support.
After None More Black, I thought I would take a simple, more laid back approach to music. That didn’t last long. Although it was therapeutic….the fact is I’m a screamer not a crooner. And lately I feel like I’ve got a lot to scream about. (yes I started a sentence with “And”)
That said…
LaGrecia is a rock band!
The band will be demo-ing some new material in early September and then flying out to Suburban Home’s 12th Anniversary to play what could be their first show. Although there isn’t a lot to report as of right now, know that we could not be more excited. Working with Jason and LaGrecia is a dream come true!

when you create a playlist in itunes – select all the tracks and under the “sorting” tab, title the “sort album” as the name of the playlist, and under the “options” tab, click the “part of a complilation” check box and select “yes”. easy peasy. that way it doesn’t change the name of the artists or albums, but the playlist stays organized.
oh – i missed a step… after you’ve selected all the tracks, right click and choose “get info”. it’ll ask you if you want to edit multiple artist info… just say yes.
i make a lot of playlists…
I CAN’T F&%#ING BELIEVE IT! This news is better than Christmas!
That’s exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!

the lack of any MD dates makes me sad.
i so wish i could make this. gonna be a great time.
Should play the Dover Brick House in Dover, NH. Two Cow Garage gets a lot of play in the bar and they have a great set up for live shows.
I am pretty thrilled about tonights St Pete show. I have not seen Drag/Jon in over a year. Even though they’ve been back to FL several times since. That article by Scott on Nine Bullets pretty much sums up my thoughts on DTR and music in general.
