Drag the River began when Jon Snodgrass (of Armchair Martian) and Chad Price (of All) began writing some country songs on the side. During the 10 years since their beginning, both Armchair Martian and All have ceased to exist and Drag has become the main outlet for both songwriters. Drag The River has accomplished so much without label support. They tour all year long, self-release their records, and secure publicity, all on their own terms. This is their first label supported release in years. Fans of Uncle Tupelo, The Replacements, Lucero, and LImbeck will love this album. The band is perfecting a sound we call Country and Mid-Western!
when you create a playlist in itunes – select all the tracks and under the “sorting” tab, title the “sort album” as the name of the playlist, and under the “options” tab, click the “part of a complilation” check box and select “yes”. easy peasy. that way it doesn’t change the name of the artists or albums, but the playlist stays organized.
oh – i missed a step… after you’ve selected all the tracks, right click and choose “get info”. it’ll ask you if you want to edit multiple artist info… just say yes.

Should play the Dover Brick House in Dover, NH. Two Cow Garage gets a lot of play in the bar and they have a great set up for live shows.
I am pretty thrilled about tonights St Pete show. I have not seen Drag/Jon in over a year. Even though they’ve been back to FL several times since. That article by Scott on Nine Bullets pretty much sums up my thoughts on DTR and music in general.
