As mentioned when we announced this stellar lineup, our friend James Freeman had plans to record the show that featured Micah Schnabel, Jon Snodgrass, and Chad Price. The show was amazing and I was really looking forward to the recording. The day after the show, James emailed me saying that there were a lot of problems with the recording and he didn’t think he could salvage it. Luckily, not all was lost, and what he was able to keep was 36 songs between Micah, Jon, and Chad. There is a little bit of static on a number of tracks (I blame it on the American Static that Micah brought with him), but it is still a great listen. I am about 1/3rd through the live recording and not sure yet how much of Snodgrass’ banter was recorded, but that man was on fire making everyone in attendance laugh their asses off. And if Jon’s “Spiderman Wolfman” doesn’t make it on his next album, I will be truly bummed.
Micah, Jon, and Chad played solo songs, songs by Drag the River and Two Cow Garage, spontaneous originals, and a boat load of covers.
Download the songs via mp3 or flac at James Freeman’s site, THAT’S THE THING ABOUT THAT
Thanks James for recording and sharing the show. Micah, Jon, and Chad, thanks for one of the best shows I have seen in quite some time. I wish all of you could have been there.

thanks for sharing this! Thanks to James for recording and sharing it!
Spiderman Wolfman is a total ear worm. I can’t get that song out of my head.
Even if it’s kind of a goof I love it.
The Wolfman turned out to be everything I’d hoped for. Making a horror movie with a classic feel to it is like threading a needle – there are so many ways to screw it up. But the folks who made this movie pulled it off. The movie looks great. The cast is fantastic. Rick Baker’s make-up was awesome. And the CGI transformation scenes (that I was concerned about)are FANTASTIC! I really don’t think Rick Baker could have improved on them. This movie is a great valentine to lovers of the Universal classics. Fun!
