Suburban Home Recording artist, Look Mexico, recently had a really great tour fall through at the last minute and instead of sitting on their asses, they have decided to tour and make it out to Suburban Home’s 14th Anniversary Weekend and the Midpoint Music Festival. The trouble is that at this point, they have a ton of holes and need to fill them as soon as possible.
Can you please take a look at the following dates, if you see the words NEED HELP, please consider any option for the guys to play that makes sense geographically. If you know of a cool show going on and think they might be able to get on, if you know someone who throws house shows, if you are in a band that might be able to set up a show, or you know of a cool bar or brewery where people always convene, let them know. I know that these pleas for help are easily ignored because we are all busy doing our own thing, but imagine being out on the road having to fill a gas tank, feed our bellies, drink beer and losing boat loads of money in the process. It is so hard touring as a smaller, independent artist in America. I think America is a great Country and all, but when you go to Europe, the promoters treat you like a person; they feed you, they give you beer, they give you a place to stay. I don’t want to go in a long rant, but while all of us have a nice place to sleep on most nights, smaller bands give it their all and put themselves on the line financially and mentally for the hope of finding new fans and friends.
