On August 7th, 2006, we launched a website called Vinyl Collective. We had been selling records through the Suburban Home online store and started licensing records from other labels for release on vinyl and thought we were onto something good. We created Vinyl Collective as a destination for vinyl collectors and really didn’t know what to expect. Since starting Vinyl Collective, our expectations have continually been surpassed and I think we have helped to foster a great, little community. It’s amazing how 3 years can feel like a lifetime.
In recognition of our 3rd Anniversary, we are excited to announce our First Annual Going Out of Business Sale and hope this is just the first of many more to come. We are mostly joking with the name of the sale which promises discounts, sales of out of print records, free stuff, and much more. Truth be told that we are finding our little company struggling amidst the troubling economic times, but we hope that with these sales and a few things we have up our sleeves, we can find ourselves in a much better state come year end.
So take advantage of all the sales we have planned which begin with these Coupon Codes:
3RDBDAY10 – Spend over $10 and get $3.00 off
3RDBDAY30 – Spend over $30 and get $10.00 off
3RDBDAY100 – Spend over $100 and get $35.00 off
This Sale starts now and will end at Midnight, Monday, August 17th, MST. Stay tuned as we plan to post new sales nearly every day for the rest of August. And if you can help us spread the word by emailing this sale to others, retweeting this post, and telling others about these sales, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much for your support of what we do.

Wow, I was like really depressed and didn’t even read the story for a while because I was like mourning another loss. My favorite actual record store was Atomic Records in Milwaukee, WI and they closed earlier this year. Well I’m glad you’re not, and I’ll be buying some records soon. Thank you.
just spent about $100 1 week ago today….damnit.
