Have you ever been up front for a show so excited to see someone playing and at some point during the set, a loud group of people start yapping away oblivious that a show is even going on? This happened to us on Friday night during Chuck Ragan’s set and the good folks around us were great about telling the group of loud, drunk ladies to Shut the Fuck Up. But this disruption was a bummer as we had all been looking forward to seeing every moment of Chuck’s set especially the new songs he played. Luckily, the ladies did not return for Lucero’s set. My buddy Zach and I were talking about it over the weekend and we decided that when this happens in the future, we need a little card that pretty much says, “Could you please be quiet, We are Trying to Enjoy the Show” or “Can you Please Shut the Fuck Up, We are Trying to Enjoy the Show. (note that we said Please)”. Brandon is going to design the cards that will be downloadable from our website. We plan to offer a number of cards with varying levels of rudeness.
Can you help us with the copy for these cards? Think of a nice way and a mean way to say “Please be Quiet, We are Trying to Enjoy the Show” and we will select our favorites to be posted on our site. Post your suggestions in the comments of this post or on our message board.

We’ve been talking about making stickers that say “tool” and “Ben Dover Girl” to stick on the annoying people at Lucero shows. Ben Dover girls being the Lucero version of the fan girls trying to sleep with Ben.

A little late to the conversation, but I recommend making it to the size of business card blanks that any office supply store has. I use them a lot (disc golf scorecards among other things) and it sure beats cutting them out with scissors
