Dan from WRIR (Richmond Indie Radio) does a great show called Salad Days. He recently had Tim Barry on the air to do an interview and while there Tim performed 3 songs live. The audio is amazing and even more amazingly, he peforms a brand new song, “Prosser’s Gabriel” which will be on Tim’s next album. The song is so good. You can either stream the audio from the Salad Days site or you can download the podcast at this link. Besides the new song, Tim also performs “Church of Level Track” and “Ronnie Song”.
During the interview, Tim mentioned that he is done writing his next album and plans on recording when he gets back from the tour with Austin Lucas and Josh Small. Speaking of the tour, he also mentioned that the show won’t run like your typical show that has an opener and a closer. Much like the Revival Tour, Tim, Austin, and Josh all plan to take turns playing on each others songs and songs will be peformed with everyone playing on them as well as on their own. This is gonna be such an incredible tour. Make sure you mark the dates on your calendar.
He also discusses Avail and the idea that reunions can help bands to make a lot of money, not that Avail plan on reuniting (they aren’t officially broken up). It is a really great interview and the songs sound so good. Please check it out.
