Suburban Home “signs” On High, Chris Fogal’s newest project

The question I get asked more than any other is, “What has Chris Fogal been up to lately?” You see, for many years, Chris Fogal fronted the Gamits, one of Suburban Home’s greatest bands. It has been almost 2 years since the band played their last show and during this time, people have been wondering what he has been up to. Your wait is over as I have some really exciting news. We (Suburban Home) will again be working with Chris Fogal with his latest project, On High. On High features members of Drag the River/Love Me Destroyer/Rocky Votolato, Uphollow/Ian Cooke, Grace Like Gravity/Sleeper Horse, and the sound is not quite what you would expect from the former Gamit’s frontman. On High play metal that has more in common with Black Sabbath or Metallica’s “Master Of Puppets” than anything the Gamits ever did.

I spoke with Chris earlier this week and he explains how the band came together and how they gravitated towards playing metal. You can listen to the entire conversation here:

You can also read a really cool feature about On High in Denver’s Westword, here.

Lastly, you can listen/download to their entire 3 song demo by either going to our media page or going to the page set up for the release where you can download the entire zipped folder containing all 3 songs.

These 3 songs will give you an idea of what to expect, but expect bigger and better things when Fogal and company go into the studio next month to record their debut album which we hope to release by March/April on vinyl and digital formats.

I am really excited to be working with Chris again as I have always regarded him as one of the best songwriters I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Please don’t let the term Metal scare you off as these are really great rock songs.
