Drunk Dial – Brandon from Suburban Home

“Adam Jumped into the snow naked, We’re Fucked up” 12/21/06 7:30 p.m. Denver, CO – Today is Brandon’s last day at Suburban Home. We are all sad that he is moving to New York to take a job with the folks at Equal Vision, but we wish him the best. I figured it would be fitting to post a drunk dial from Brandon on his final day here. Last week throughout the big blizzard of 2006 (as the news stations are calling it), Brandon and some of the Fear B4 dudes started drinking early. You will notice that his call was placed at 7:30 pm; I guess the guys were snowed in and stir crazy so why not get drunk…right? Adam of Fear B4 at some point gets naked and jumps out in the snow and Brandon calls to give a play by play. Brandon points out that Adam is good looking, single, and his dick is a flopping. Nice!

Not Even a Snow Storm can Stop Drag the River

As Denver gets hit with another snow storm and the entire town freaks out, we are excited to let everyone know that Drag the River are still playing tonight at 3 Kings Tavern. The Suburban Home crew will be there in full force and we plan on getting our drink on. We hope that everyone in the area can make it out for what we guarantee will be an incredible time.

Almost every store in Denver is sold out of snow shovels. I had to buy another one as mine broke from the last snow storm. Home Depot as a chain is sold out completely so I went to Ace Hardware and they said that their delivery of 300 shovels they received yesterday were nearly sold out. Those damn news stations have the entire city scared to death like it is going to be the end of the world. Fuckers.
Tonight, Drag the River at 3 Kings Tavern (60 South Broadway)

New Years Eve, Sunday, Dec 31st, Drag the River with Reverend Horton Heat at the Aggie Theater in Ft Collins

Suburban Home is looking for a Graphic Design intern

We are looking for an intern to work as our Graphic Designer. We want someone who could help design ads, banner ads, catalogs, record layouts, and knowing some web design would not hurt either. If you are interested email me. The perfect fit would be someone in Denver who might be going to school for a graphic design degree and who could work part time. Thanks.

Drunk Dials : “I Love Squirters” and “LMD Makes My…”

“It’s Like Getting a Birthday Present on Christmas” 12/28/06 3:06 a.m. Bakersfield/Fresno, CA – Two callers call to express their love for squirters, which must be referring to the ladies capable of exploding upon climax. He likens squirters to getting a birthday present on Christmas or Throwing a balloon full of piss. In either case, it is worth a listen.

“Love Me Destroyer makes my…” 12/16/06 8:51 p.m. Denver, CO - This drunk dial seemed to fit with the other one posted above. This one is really short and to the point; the caller just explains what LMD makes her do. Good stuff and not a good drunk dial for conservative Christians.

Drunk Dial : Two Calls from Jon Snodgrass of Drag the River

“This Doesn’t Have to go on TV” 12/22/06 10:38 p.m. Ft Collins, CO – Our good buddy Jon Snodgrass of Drag the River called twice to share some ideas. His first call made me laugh because he lost his train of thought, farted, and says that this doesn’t have to go on TV. He hangs up and calls again, this time saying that he had an idea involving Chad Rex and Two Cow Garage which should serve as an inner office memo. I am thinking that Jon was thinking that Drag should do a tour with both groups which I think would rule. Thanks for the call Jon.

Beer Run 12-22-06

After two days of blizzard conditions in Denver, we came back into the offices this Friday, December 22nd. Before I left the day on Wednesday, I grabbed a bunch of beer so I could have something to drink while the blizzards kept me inside. Because of this, we were bare at the Suburban Home offices and I could not let that happen on a Friday. We stocked up pretty nice and stuck with a lot of our regulars like Leffe, Newcastle, Amstel Light, and Pipeline Porter. We even got Kyle and the Liquor Store employee, John, to pose for a photo next to our full shopping cart. John actually spent some time as an intern at Suburban Home, but it rules that he works at our neighborhood liquor store. He even suggested that we get Tilburg’s Dutch Brown Ale which I absolutely love and next to Leffe, it is one of my new favorites.

We hope that our beer run inspires all of you to drink lots of beer over the holidays. We hope that Santa brings every one of you a copy of the new Tim Barry album and a Drag the River “I Love to Get Drunk” T-shirt. We at Suburban Home wish you all a great holiday and we are all looking forward to a few days off. We will be back at it on Thursday, December 28th. Happy holidays!

Through Rain, Sleet, or Snow, but not Blizzards

Due to the weather in Denver, Suburban Home will be closed today and will not be capable of shipping orders. Even if did make it, the US Postal Service are closed today as they were yesterday. This will put a slight damper on a few of those last minute orders expected to be received by Christmas. Sorry, but there really isn’t anything we can do.

Also, the Suburban Home Christmas party is canceled. There is just too much snow no the roads to expect anyone to make it out even for free beer. I am bummed, but there is a higher power preventing us all from getting nice and drunk together. I hope everyone is staying warm and safe through what has been one of the craziest snows we have gotten since 2003.

The photo shows me in the middle of shoveling our driveway. This is no easy task when we got like 21 inches of accumulation.
