Tim Barry and Drag the River in stores Today, Tuesday, November 21st

We have been looking forward to this day for quite a while. Today is the day that is the official street date for Tim Barry’s “Rivanna Junction” and Drag the River’s “Hobo’s Demos” re-release. Making one day an official release date is kind of an arbitrary thing since we are such a small label. We hope to get a decent number of copies out into mom and pop stores and hope that a few of the bigger chains will think that our releases are worthwhile to carry, but these days it is harder than ever to get stores to order your new releases if you don’t have a big marketing budget behind each release.

I do know that a decent number of mom and pop record stores are carrying both releases. We urge you to consider picking up the releases at those types of stores as the mom and pops need more support than ever. And if you find that the store that you frequent isn’t carrying both releases, it would help us a lot if you could ask them to please consider carrying both albums.

Thanks for all of you that have already purchased Tim and/or Drag’s albums. I feel very lucky to be able to work with both artists and am stoked that the bands have the fans that they have.
