Captain Metal is a sophisticated party robot sent back in time to change the destiny of one lucky party. Fortunate for all of us that one lucky party is Monsters of Mock 2006, November 4th at the Bluebird Theater. As you will see by the photo (above), Captain Metal is for real. He has been absent from the past two Mocks so you will understand my delight at having him host this year’s festivities. You cannot miss this year’s show.
To recap, We have Black Sabbath performed by members of the Gamits and Grace Like Gravity; Danzig performed by members of the Nobodys, Drag the River, and Hussy; One Time Only (80′s punk rock tribute band), and Heavy Metal Karaoke performed by the Moorheads. Scooter from Love Me Destroyer will be doing 3 Judas Priest songs, Maylyn from Leboom will be doing songs by Joan Jett, Heart, and Pat Benetar; as well as covers by AC/DC, Poison, Van Halen, and more. There will be a costume contest and a screening of Heavy Metal Parking Lot. Mark November 4th on your calendar!
