We are moving the Suburban Home offices this weekend. It will and already has been a lot of work. Imagine moving close to 40,000 CDs, a ton of vinyl, and more magazines than you can shake a stick at. On top of that, we have desks, computers, printers, and tons of crap. Wish our backs luck.
The new offices are super rad though so it will all be worth it in the end.

I had hinted that there is some video footage of me during my drunkest moments the other night and here is the first of a couple from the night. I am a bit embarassed about this footage, but I realize that in the near future everyone will have video recording equipment and everyone’s worst moments will be caught on tape and posted on youtube. The footage is of yours truly drunk out of my mind and very, very hungry. I guess, I thought it would be a good idea to grab some leftover corn at Joey’s house and shovel it into my mouth with my hand straight out of the ziplock bag. Damn!
Footage done by Bobby Klaer, Edited by Zach from Grey Flight, and the music you hear is NOFX’s “green corn”. Enjoy! Also note that around 10 minutes later, I pass out only to be sharpied by my “good friends”.

Our good friends at Grey Flight Records just sent me a link to their photos of the weekend. As you will once again see, there was a lot of drinking and even more photos of me passed out and sharpied. It is always interesting to see these kinds of photos as it helps piece together my night. I just noticed from the Grey Flight photos that I took a shot after waking up from my pass out / sharpie session. That my friends was not very smart! Here you can find the Grey Flight photo session:
Grey Flight’s Suburban Home 11th anniversary photos
Tim Barry, Josh Small, and Casey Prestwood are featured in the photo above.

As this photo and the entire photo album might suggest, there were plenty of drinks consumed during the Suburban Home Records’ 11th Anniversary celebrations. The photo featured in this post is of yours truly during my finest hour of the night. I am pretty sure that I got about as drunk as a human being can without having to go to the hospital. After the 2 shows on Saturday night, I passed out at my buddy Joey’s house. It was there that Kyle and our brothers from Grey Flight Records did what any upstanding drunk would do as they sharpied my face, neck, and arms, giving me a wide assortment of illustrations of male genitalia. The worst part about all of this is that I am usually the guy who sharpies other people and it was I who supplied the sharpies the night before. Being the good sport that I am, I will soon be posting an edited video of my “good friends” sharpieing me and some of my other drunken shenanigans. Please check out the entire album here:

Expect a rather lengthy weekend journal of all of the festivities. It was one of those magical weekends that make you thank a higher power for having the set of circumstances I have in my life to be able to do the things that I do.

Monday through Thursday, everyone brings a sack lunch or grabs takeout and we watch TV over our lunch hour. Not too long ago, we got a Netflix account for the office and have been super stoked being able to watch Six Feet Under, Weeds, and Entourage. Brian just installed a widget that allows us to share with you what movies we have out through Netflix. If you ever have a TV show suggestion, just post it in the comments. We are always looking for new shows. Just look at the right side-bar towards the bottom and you will see what we are watching from week to week.

We are so excited to share with you the fact that we will be re-releasing Drag the River’s first album, Hobo’s Demos. This is the record that turned me into a country fan and opened my eyes to the fact that there was more to country than the Boot Scoot Boogie. This album represents some of Jon Snodgrass and Chad Price’s first dabblings into country music and the songs were just so good that they had to get the band off and running. Lucky for all of us that these dabblings worked. The re-release will contain 1 bonus song, Nerve Endings, a Chad Rex diamond in the rough that was always meant to be re-recorded, but will be added in its original inebriated state. Also new to the re-release is the addition of the drag trademark all-in-one jukebox track which will allow those to select the album at their favorite dive bar and play the entire album for one credit! The artwork will be changed a little bit and the entire record will be remastered.
Hobo’s Demos re-release will be in stores on November 21st! Expect re-releases of Chicken Demos and Closed in 2007!

Following up the 10 Questions With Jon Snodgrass, we figured it only fitting to share with you those same questions with Chad Price, the other vocalist/songwriter of Drag the River. Thanks Chad for taking the time to answer these questions. Enjoy!

We just posted a photo album of our outing at this year’s Denver Fest show at 3 Kings Tavern. This was an insane show as Avail and Planes Mistaken for Stars both played. It was our first time meeting Tim Barry who rocked the house. As you will see by checking out the photo album there was lots and lots of drinking which resulted in me both passing out and having an insatiable hunger for 7-11 donuts. We will try from time to time share with you our big nights out. Expect a lot of crazy photos from our 11th anniversary celebration this upcoming weekend!

Having worked with Drag the River for the past few years, I have gotten to know Jon Snograss, singer and guitarist of Drag the River pretty well. As we are always curious to find out more about the members of our bands, we will from time to time, share with you 10 questions with….. Here is the very first one!

Not sure if you have stopped by Tourettes Guy dot com before, but the Fear Before guys actually got the folks at that site to make a commercial for their upcoming album, The Always Open Mouth. The commercial is hilarious and actually aired on M2 and a number of other sites. The best part has to be the part where the guy with Tourettes says, “My ass could write a better song than these guys with one cheek tied behind my balls”. I love the new album and highly recommend you pick it up on September 19th. We will be releasing the album on vinyl as a co-release with our good friends at Grey Flight.
